In general, artist exhibitions focus on the pieces churned out by craftspeople — the culmination of hours of work and the expenditure of unfathomable mental energy. But, this show is a little different — it’ll focus on the tools artists use in order to reach that finish line. This show, curated by Paul Kremer, will look at “the methodology behind the artists’ works, showing painting alongside video, performance, and functional objects,” according to a release. “Whether made to spec or fashioned from available found materials, an artist’s tools can be definitive for a particular series of works, and even have the potential to drive an entire career.”
