When: Fri., July 7, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. 2017
While many areas of Detroit still fall into food desert status, many folks are working to get fresh fruits, vegetables, and grains into the hands of locals. Market Fridays are put on by the good people at the Campus Martius Park organization in an effort to get Detroiters the healthful, whole foods they deserve. Shoppers will have a chance to browse booths hocking produce, as well as plants, trees, shrubs, dried flowers, herbs, apiary products, maple syrup, dried fruits and nuts, baked goods, dressings and sauces, jams and jellies, and more.
