Marriage Equality in Michigan service and panel

At 11 AM, Ken Mogill will present “Reflections on the Struggle for Marriage Equality,” a personal examination of what marriage is and how the DeBoer Michigan marriage rights case has affected people's views of marriage as a matter of law and social/religious conceptions. A panel discussion on marriage equality follows at 12:30 PM. Refreshments are sponsored by Michigan for Marriage. Panelists include Mr. Mogill; Andre Gilford II, a graduate of the LGBT Detroit leadership academy; and Gina Calcagno, Campaign Director of Michigan for Marriage. First UU Detroit is located in the Cass Corridor Commons, 4605 Cass at Forest in Midtown.
