Whitdel Arts is proud to present its next emerging artist, Mary Laube with Paper Planes. Mary Laube’s work depicts flattened worlds that call attention to the contradictory nature of pictorial space. Drawing from her surroundings, she alters perspective to compress substantial forms into paper thin constructions. Reminiscent of paper-dolls and miniatures, Paper Planes describes painting as an act of staging—the representation of a constructed and idealized world.
