Michael Zaporski

Michael Zaporski merges American jazz traditions with a West-African-influenced rhythmic dialogue. Whether fronting his own group or playing with the Planet D. Nonet, Zaporski imbues every original composition and jazz-standard with a wealth of sophistication gained through experiences such as traveling to Africa with late Detroit saxophonist Sam Sanders, or teaching jazz through the U.S. State Department.
