Forget the Febreeze and those artificially scented wall plug-ins, there is no aroma more soothing and refreshing than that of fresh lavender. Known as the “grandmother of all herbs,” this purple plant gets its very own festival every July out in Armada, and patrons are treated to cooking demonstrations, workshops, classes, and more. There will also be nearly 200 local artisans and craftspeople selling a menagerie of handmade items, plus access to gourmet food, wagon rides, and more country-living amenities.
