Mnemosyne: An Exploration of Myth & Memory in Paintings

Hatch Art presents an exhibition of myth-inspired paintings by Detroit artist Linden from May 1- May 2., The reception features music by St. Zita performing sublime melodies--pairing the strings of the somber viola with the plucks of the Chinese guzheng. The paintings celebrate an imagined return of old mythologies to modern cityscapes. “Mnemosyne” is named for the forgotten goddess of time and memory. These paintings celebrate the wonder of renewal, transformation, the endurance of mystery, and hellish challenges endured.
