Molly Burch often warns that she is a nervous person — no, like, actual anxiety, which is something the Austin-based singer is forced to daringly shed when she’s delivering her smoky vocals over sweetly sad in-and-out of love songs. One could compare her 2017 debut, Please Be Mine to Zooey Deschanel in its twangy, nostalgic, forlorn-ness, or to Angel Olsen for her sparseness. But the classically trained jazz vocalist finds her own formula — equal parts heartbroken and hopeful — on last year’s First Flower. Sharing the bill are Bunny and Alyssa Wetlaufer.
