Musique Noire World Music Sextet: Celebrating Women in Music at Palmer Woods Music in Homes

Palmer Woods Music in Homes, a series of jazz, classical and world music in historic homes and gardens, presents a jazzy world music concert honoring Women's History Month with Musique Noire Sextet. This all women's award-winning quartet led by Kresge Artist Fellow violinist/flutist Michelle May, is joined by bassist Marion Hayden, violinist Tia Imani Hanna, guitarist Elden Kelly, with MN mainstays Leah Lucas Celebi on viola/violin and percussionist JoVia Armstrong. Their music is infused with jazz, reggae, soul, and multi-global sounds. The concert will be held in a magnificent art-filled historic Tudor and includes a delicious dinner with locally-prepared cuisine.
