31 • MUSIC Gold Cash Gold — Up from the ashes of Charm Farm, buds Steve Zuccaro and Eric Hoegemeyer are stirring up a healthy D-town buzz with Gold Cash Gold. Don’t be misled by the irony in the band moniker, ’cause self-mockery is not the only thing that makes GCG worthy; rather, it’s that the band’s brand of rock ’n’ roll eschews both the testes-heavy aggro and pop-tart beats that currently clog airwave mainlines. The band’s record collections span the Radiohead, Zep, Crowes, Beatles, Kravitz and Prince gamut. But don’t let that throw you, either, ’cause Gold Cash Gold is all about the song; from seemly confessionals to four-on-the-floor stomps.
