Protomartyr

Post-punk outfit Protomartyr is one of a handful of indie Detroit bands that has long since surpassed indie-dom — the band has become one of the most high-profile Motor City rock acts this side of the White Stripes in recent history. After the band’s big record release blowout on the Detroit Princess Riverboat last year (from which we are still recovering), 2018 found Protomartyr teaming up with the Breeders’ Kelley Deal for the Consolation EP, and it helped welcome UFO Factory back to Earth while selling out a bunch of shows on its joint winter tour with Canada’s Preoccupations.
