Queen of the Detroit Irish Societies

When: Sat., Feb. 28, 5-9 p.m. 2015

The United Irish Societies of Detroit will embark on their 57th year of the most prestigious female Irish competition. As the event is evolving so is the name. The competition that is formerly known as the Maid of Erin, will know be known as Queen of the Detroit United Irish Societies. In addition to the name change, the young woman crowned will receive a guided tour of Ireland to experience the history of her heritage first hand. One woman will be crowned the “Queen.” In addition, there will be two other ladies that will be named to the court.
