Lecture/Seminar/Demo

Saki Mafundikwa

When: Sat., March 21, 5:10 p.m. 2015

Mafundikwa, a graphic designer, was kicking it in New York City with a successful career. But he dropped everything to return to Zimbabwe, where he was born, to open a graphic design and new media school, the first in the country. He’ll join the University of Michigan’s Stamps School of Design’s speaker series for its monthly lecture to talk about his work around the world. Mafundikwa holds his native country in high regard for design. “There is enough stimuli in Africa to inspire youth designers of all kinds,” he has said.
