L.A-based lo-fi punk outfit Sextile found a way to marry Joy Division’s brooding, invasive fog-machine sound with a dash of amphetamines and a sprinkle of obscure astrological mysticism. Their sophomore record released last month, Albiet Living, finds a spacial swelling while maintaining their goth wave from outer space internal collapse. A crash course in anxious sedation, Sextile has perfected the shadowy formula for DIY distraught punk for occultists and fans of all things uneasy.
