“Double, double toil and trouble…” Founded in 2013, Shakespeare in Detroit offers approachable productions of Shakespeare’s plays, often in public and popular spaces. The troupe closes each season with a free outdoor summer performance. This year, the company will offer their take on “The Scottish Play.” This famous tale of power, corruption and political ambition will take place Thursday through Sunday and will be directed by D.B. Schroeder with Patrick Hanely as stage manager. The production is sponsored by Rebuild Nation, Tom Delaney, and Midtown Detroit Inc. and takes place in “arguably the best park to perform Shakespeare in the city,” according to the event page for the production.
