This year's Shakespeare in the Park feature is All Is Well. Old fashion themes of love, war, seduction, betrayal, and bed-hopping all come together in this hilarious love story. The play, directed by Terry Carpenter, tells the story of Helena, a commoner, who saves the King’s life. To reward her, the king allows her to choose her own husband (something uncommon at the time). She chooses Bertram, who would rather go off to war and chase women than settle down. Unwilling to give up on her husband of choice, Helena follows Bertram to war - and eventually befriends the woman he is trying to woo! The women connect in this hilarious and enigmatic Shakespearean scheme.
