For more than 50 years, the duo of Jim Schwall on guitar and Corky Siegel on piano/harmonica has been churning out its own brand of electric blues. In the catalogue of iconic songs about drinker’s remorse, their own “I Think It Was the Wine” surely ranks along with the all-time greats. (It is hard to imagine the jovial Schwall hitting anyone with a 2-by-4, however.) The pair appears alongside an all-star rhythm section that includes Sun Ra alumnus Rollo Radford on bass and drummer Sam Lay, who has lent the beat for both Muddy Waters and Paul Butterfield.
