When: Fri., Sept. 22, 7-9 p.m. 2017
According to a June article published on Fortune, something like 72 percent of senior executives at Fortune 500 companies are white men. The women behind the Young, Ambitious, and Beautiful collective, a nonprofit that works to change the narrative for women of color in business, wants to work on that. During this event, just one in a series created by Y.A.B., panelists will discuss ways to change a flawed mentality that plagues women looking to break into the corporate world. The Ten Nail Bar co-founders Kelli Coleman and Anika Jackson, community & government affairs director for United Way Ghida Dagher, Carter Snell Skin Center founder Dr. Brittany Carter-Snell, and Live6 Alliance co-director Lauren Hood will serve as panelists.
Runs from 7 to 9 p.m.; 1420 Washington Blvd., Detroit; eventbrite.com; Tickets are $1.
