Infamously formed on the streets of Detroit 25 years ago, Slum Village is the true embodiment of Motor City hip-hop. The original lineup, of course, featured J. Dilla, Baatin and T3. Presently, despite having only one surviving member, Slum Village continues to bring Detroit’s underground hip-hop scene across the country, and the world. Today, the core of the band is the duo of T3 and producer Young RJ. Their latest release,Yes! features tracks that were co-produced posthumously by late members J. Dilla and Baatin. The event will be filled with the loud sound of Dilla, and reverberate with love for the innovative genius.
