Larissa Popa is better known to some as the Meatstress — an alter ego known for butchery prowess and flavor mastery. The butcher and chef is holding a pop-up dinner at Detroit City Distillery where she’ll employ all her favorite spring flavors (think: lamb, foraged ramps, rhubarb, peas, and asparagus), plus beet ice cream with olive oil chiffon, candied walnuts, sweet beet chip, lemon curd, and goat cheese. Sounds delish, yes? Tickets include food only, but Detroit City Distillery will offer a drink pairing for an additional cost.
