New Music Detroit brings their 7th annual marathon music festival, Strange Beautiful Music to the Max! The avant-garde production features experimental and far-reaching sounds ranging from contemporary chamber music and European folk to experimental electronics and noise improvisation. NMD performs two world premieres by John Zorn and Frank Pahl as well as works by Louis Andriessen, Bill Ryan, Evan Ziporyn and John Luther Adams.
