Ten Thousand Villages and the Fair Trade Movement

Did you know that the global fair trade movement began with the founding of Ten Thousand Villages more than 60 years ago, growing to a network of social entrepreneurs working to empower and provide economic opportunities to artisans in developing countries? Now, Ten Thousand Villages of Huron Valley is celebrating 10 years in Ann Arbor. Store manager Bill Henderson will share fair trade principles. Founding member Norene Kanagy will tell the local history of the store at 303 S. Main St.
