The Block Party

What started in the ’90s as a way to get folks together for some live music has become a staple at Bert’s Warehouse, a beloved Eastern Market establishment. The community so loved the tradition it has continued on for 20 years, becoming increasingly popular all the while. Now, the Block Party is celebrating two decades in existence with a party bigger than ever. Local DJs Mike Todd, Bruce Bailey, Vernon English, DJ Jewels, Kelly Holmes, and Joe Boyer will spin house music, classics, hip-hop, and “real soul” music throughout the night. There will be the barbecue we have come to love from Bert’s, plus outdoor bars to ensure you’re getting your drink on without having to miss a second of the shindig.
