Lakeland Players presents the story of Helen Keller a deaf-blind girl from Tuscumbia, Alabama and her teacher Anne Sullivan which has inspired millions. In a dramatic struggle, Sullivan teaches Keller the one word which unlocks the entire world to her. The author’s intent was to keep the play fluid and to show the “Miracle” that was accomplished through the perseverance and endurance of the human spirit and the importance of the human touch.
