The Polyphonic Spree isn’t your typical choir. Sure, they wear those seemingly requisite and ridiculously oversized choral robes, but their music is more secular rock than hymn-holy. Lead vocalist Tim DeLaughter founded the band 14 years ago in Dallas and, replete with cult-y vibes, they’ve been blending a variety of vocal techniques with the employ of a flute, trumpet, French horn, trombone, violin, and cello to create a unique sound ever since.
