Keynote Speaker Sam Quinones, author of "Dreamland: The True Tale of America's Opiate Epidemic," is an acclaimed journalist, storyteller, and expert in the devastating heroin epidemic gripping our nation. He will explain how misrepresentations by Big Pharma, gross over-prescribing of pain pills, and changes in Mexican drug cartels created a perfect storm that moved heroin use and addiction from poor inner-city neighborhoods into every middle and upper class suburb in America.     With opening remarks by Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard describing the impact of the heroin epidemic in our local community and efforts undertaken to combat this growing problem.
