To Be Young, Gifted and Black

"To Be Young, Gifted and Black" is a unique, bold and hilarious play that recreates the world of Lorraine Hansberry, a great American woman, artist and writer of "A Raisin in the Sun." The actors in this fast paced production journey through various scenes and moods, illustrating the emotions and experiences of Hansberry. A major statement of the American Black experience. This production features The Wright’s own Jonathon Jones, Museum Educator/Outreach Coordinator, and Michelle McKinney, Education Specialist. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Peformance begins at 7 p.m.
