While we looked away from the punk scene for about six months, a new all ages joint opened up called Sanctuary Detroit, and the one photo we saw looked like a 21st century art space full of people from the year 1982, with so many shaven heads, dockworker caps, and flight jackets, and a shouter holding the mic cord-up a la John Brannon. This big punk bill seems like a good time to check out the space, if you haven’t been, as it features Total Chaos on its 25-year anniversary, along with four more bands: the State, SBLC, Disco Assault, and the Hangdowns. All this for $10? Those are 1982 prices, not even fully adjusted for inflation.
