After disbanding the amazing Electric Eels, Cleveland’s original art-punk John Morton formed the aggressive and strange X_X. Their few reunion shows last year were supposedly great, and warranted attention from the New York Times, of all places. A forthcoming X_X release is called Albert Ayler’s Ghosts: Live at the Yellow Ghetto. We’re not sure if it references Ayler’s second album (Ghosts) or just the fact that when Ayler died mysteriously in New York City’s East River, a figure as great as Ayler might have unleashed multiple ghosts, or what. Timmy’s Organism and Brothels will also perform.
