Results of Tuesday's historic election for mayor and city council have yet to be certified, but city officials have released preliminary data indicating voter turnout exceed 25 percent. Looked at in a historical perspective, that number is up from Dave Bing's reelection bid in 2009, which was 22.68 percent; in 1993 turnout, according to Department of Elections was 46.2 percent.
