File this under "WTF" news for the week: Last week, a 42-year-old Taylor man was shot inside his home after discovering someone rummaging through his belongings. WXYZ says he told the suspect to drop the items and leave. The suspect refused to leave and then shot the man in the head.

When WDIV arrived on the scene, they found Jeremy Jones, the victim's neighbor, and asked him some questions about the man.

"He's got a big heart," Jones said of the victim, John Joseph Henry, who remains in critical condition.

But after police received numerous tips from other neighbors, Jones was taken into custody for the crime he was interviewed about.

Between the alleged shooting and the WDIV interview, police say Jones told the victim's girlfriend he would kill her if she ratted him out to law enforcement officials.
