Detroit Derby Girls championship bout to be held this Saturday

Reining Detroit Derby Girl champs, the Grand Prix Madonnas, will battle The D-Funk Allstars this Saturday, June 7 to defend their title as this year's season comes to a close.

The championship bout will take place at the Masonic Temple with doors opening at 4:45 p.m. and the first bout beginning at 6 p.m.

The first bout of the evening will feature the season's third and fourth place teams, a grudge match between the Detroit Pistoffs and the Pistol Whippers, followed by the match that will determine this season's champion, which will begin at 8 p.m.

This season-ending game will also feature musical entertainment by Stikyfrüt and the National Anthem will be sung by our 2014 Best of Detroit mascot, Satori Circus.

Tickets are $18 at the door, but can be purchased for the same price in advance at brownpapertickets.com.

The Masonic Temple is located at 500 Temple St., Detroit.
