Multiple reports floating about say the $2.1 billion New International Trade Crossing between the U.S. and Canada will be named after Detroit Red Wings legend Gordie Howe, a popular guy here in the city and across the pond.

Howe suffered a stroke last fall, countered in response by a controversial stem cell treatment. After he received the treatment, according to the Freep, Howe sat up and demanded in "an astonishingly strong voice that he needed to use the restroom."

Cheers, Gordie.
