Picture this: It's hot, you're walking the dog through a commercial area, and suddenly you're gripped by the enticing scent and cool air of a nearby restaurant. You must go inside. But, what ever will you do with your dog?! You certainly can't leave it tied up in the heat.
Now, thanks to two Ferndale restaurants and a dog house company, there is a solution for this very specific problem. It's called DogSpot — the air conditioned hut where you can store and lock up Fido via an app. You can surveil him from the dinner table thanks to a PuppyCam inside.
The dog houses are now installed behind Pops For Italian and Rosie O' Grady's in Ferndale. The eateries are under the same ownership. On social media, Pops For Italian says DogSpot will help make it "the dog-friendliest restaurant around."
