Some metro Detroit chefs were named as semifinalists in the 2015 awards sponsored by the James Beard Foundation. Congratulations to Andy Hollyday of Selden Standard in Detroit, as well as Marc Djozlija of Wright & Co. in Detroit, both named as semifinalists in the category of Best Chef in the Great Lakes Region. But even higher honors are possible for Garrett Lipar of Ferndale's Torino, who was named a semifinalist in Rising Star of the Year. Lots of props to the good folks at Torino, including Noah Dorfman, whose eye for detail is undeniable.
