Some metro Detroit chefs were named as semifinalists in the 2015 awards sponsored by the James Beard Foundation
. Congratulations to Andy Hollyday of Selden Standard in Detroit, as well as Marc Djozlija of Wright & Co. in Detroit, both named as semifinalists in the category of Best Chef in the Great Lakes Region. But even higher honors are possible for Garrett Lipar of Ferndale's Torino, who was named a semifinalist in Rising Star of the Year. Lots of props to the good folks at Torino, including Noah Dorfman, whose eye for detail is undeniable.
