After a long run as a pop-up pizzeria at Woodbridge Pub, the pizza pie makers are getting ready for the long transition to moving into a brick and mortar establishment, reports say. Eater Detroit's Brenna Houck broke the news today
that customers have just a few weeks left to enjoy the Sunday-only fare before Pie-Sci owners Jeremy Damaske and AJ Manoulian switch gears to focus on getting their own restaurant built out.
"We still do not have a tentative date for the brick and mortar opening. We are basically pulling out of the pop up at the Woodbridge Pub because I am getting married in August and will be gone for most of the month, and also to make a move to try to initiate some forward progress of the pizzeria," Damaske tells Metro Times.
The duo signed a 5-year lease on a property back in February with Jim Geary, who happens to own Woodbridge, thus making the move to the new location slow, ongoing process. Damaske and Manoulian have been making pies at the pub for more than four years.
