James Wailin/Wailin Inc.

Wailin Inc. is fronted by harmonica wildman James Wailin, acknowledged by many of his peers as one of the hardest-working guys on the local scene. If Wailin isn't working a gig he's working on getting one. The result of all that effort is a well-rehearsed, tight group of players that can deliver the funk as well as the blues and turn both on their ears at will. It would be too easy to toss Wailin in with the rest of the "butt-rockin' blues" bands, even though a fairly strong rock influence can be heard in the music. What seperates Wailin Inc. from the pack on that score is the other varied influences that can be enjoyed as well. Love him or hate him, his prominence on the local scene can hardly be ignored.
