Speaking of Tyree Guyton, next week the artist will make his first major public appearance since the Heidelberg Project arsons started by giving a lecture at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. (Cue yet another "Is it art or an eyesore?" debate in the comments section below.)

Guyton will discuss new plans for the site, its history, and plans for a new museum. Guyton's wife and Heidelberg Project director Jenenne Whitfield will also speak, along with U-M School of Social Work professor Larry Grant. "Inextinguishable — A Conversation with Detroit Artist Tyree Guyton" starts at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20 at U-M's East Conference Room (4th floor) at the Horace H. Rackham Building, 915 E. Washington St., Ann Arbor.

Check out 28 photos from the Heidelberg Project (before and after the fires) here, or revisit our cover story about the artist from late last year.
