The DIA's popular Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo in Detroit is entering its final weeks (you may have spotted the bilingual billboards cropping up around town announcing "las últimas semanas"). If you haven't seen it yet, you'd better act soon — the last day to enjoy the exhibition is July 12.

The museum is typically closed on Mondays, but next week, the DIA will open to celebrate Kahlo's birthday on July 6. The museum will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and reduced-rate $6 tickets for the exhibition will be available.

If that wasn't enough of a birthday treat, visitors can also have a slice of birthday cake and enjoy a live mariachi band.
