We’re looking for a dynamic and creative staff writer with big ideas and boundless energy who wants to join our team and tell Detroit stories, big and small.

The ideal candidate is a passionate, organized, professional writer with some experience who wants to nuzzle into Detroit's warm embrace and then get after it and dig up stories. (There's a whole lot of them here.)

What we're looking for: A flexible writer who can turn around well-reported cover stories every month as well as pithy pieces every week, a writer who is as comfortable tackling an investigative feature as they are a profile, a writer who can make meaningful contributions to format-busting special issues and engage Metro Times' audience across our digital platforms.

Interested? Apply here, or check out our careers page for other openings.
