'Rock of Love' star and former Poison front-man Bret Michaels to heat up Soundboard

If you’ve ever made whoopee to “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” you have former lead singer of Poison, Rock of Love star Bret Michaels to thank. A solo artist and business partner with Charlie Sheen, Michaels lives a surprisingly tame life considering his VH1 reality show days aren’t that far in the bus’ rearview mirror. Though the singer has suffered some health scares recently (and an unfortunate Tonys Award incident) he is still belting his glam rock and sporting his signature bandana-cowboy hat combo like it was yesterday.

Bret Michaels will perform on Wednesday, Dec. 27 at Sound Board; Doors open at 8 p.m.; 2901 Grand River Ave., Detroit; 313-309-4700; soundboarddetroit.com; Tickets start at $28.
