Detroit's Gabriel Brass Band will bring NOLA vibes to PJ's Lager House

Damn, check out that brass! Long-time local leader of the ever-transportive Gabriel Brass Band, Dameon Gabriel has music in his blood. When his family moved from New Orleans to Detroit in the ’40s, a bit of the Big Easy came with him and we are so glad it did. A full-blown entourage marching band, the Gabriel Brass Band could spark life to the most dead of hearts and encourage even the most rigid of souls to bust a serious move.

Gabriel Brass Band to play PJ's Lager House on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 8 p.m.; 1254 Michigan Ave.; Detroit; 313-961-4668; pjslagerhouse.com; Tickets are $10.
