So, a man walks into a bar… no, wait, let’s start over. A man walks into a bar and says to the bartender… shit. That’s not right. Best to leave this to the pros. A tradition that started more than a decade ago in Brooklyn has become a much-anticipated event in several comedy-centric cities across the country. Up-and-coming comics and joke veterans gather to share the first jokes they’ve written for the new year. Fast, fresh, and funny, 50 First Jokes promises a silly start to 2018.

50 First Jokes takes place on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. at The Ark; 316 S. Main St., Ann Arbor; 734-761-1451; theark.org; Tickets are $10.
