Jay and Silent Bob are getting old and want to talk about it at the Fillmore

The Big Bang may have created the universe, but it was the delightfully warped mind of filmmaker and author Kevin Smith that crafted View Askewniverse — the birthplace of comedy duo Jay and Silent Bob. Smith — along with the Jay to his Silent Bob, Jason Mewes — are bringing their No. 1-ranked comedy podcast “Jay and Silent Bob Get Old” to life onstage. Smith and Mewes dish on growing up, getting old, and... staying sober? The weekly podcast was originally created to keep Mewes from drinking, and while the dynamically honest duo may not stay in character, what happens is far more interesting.

Jay and Silent Bob Get Old will take place on Tuesday, April 10 at The Fillmore; Doors open at 7 p.m.; 2115 Woodward Ave., Detroit; 313-961-5451; thefillmoredetroit.com; Tickets start at $20.
