The electric scooter ridesharing craze has reached Ann Arbor.
On Friday morning, Ann Arbor tweeters reported spotting Bird scooters around the U-M campus. Some had business cards attached offering a free ride with a voucher code.
The scooters are reportedly part of a smaller-scale pop-up tour
introducing the tech to college campuses around the country. Earlier this summer, Bird and a rival company named Lime
deployed their scooters in Detroit. The scooters are available in cities across the country.
Bird's smartphone-enabled rideshare program costs $1 to activate a scooter and 15 cents per minute to ride. You can read our guide to riding them here
